PANELIST
As a result of the demographic trends, the massive explosion in prisoner populations and the more than 800,000 people per year being released from incarceration, the academic community is more focused than ever before on the issues related to re-entry and restorative justice.
Throughout the United States and the world organizations are convening high level meetings to discuss ongoing research. The primary purpose of these meetings are to have an open exchange of ideas as well as open discussions about research all with the goal of determining best practices.
A representative sampling of where Khalil has participated and partnered as a panelist would include:
Columbia University on The Prisoner Class: Inside and Beyond the Wall in New York, NY
Central State University on Civil Rights Movement: Where Do We Go From Here in Xenia, OH
Case Western Reserve University on the Psychology of Incarceration in Cleveland, OH
Miami Book Fair International on Caribbean Voices II: Reflections on the `60s and `70s with Michael Thelwell in Miami, FL
